The list includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>TVs<\/li>\n<li>Computers, monitors and computer peripherals (a peripheral is any device that needs to be connected to a computer in order to operate)<\/li>\n<li>VCRs &amp; DVD players<\/li>\n<li>Stereo Equipment<\/li>\n<li>Personal Digital Assistants &amp; Music Players<\/li>\n<li>telephones &amp; cell phones (including fax &amp; answering machines)<\/li>\n<li>Game Consoles<\/li>\n<li>Power supply cords (used to charge electronic devices)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Electronic waste does not include anything with a cord or appliances like toasters, lamps, or microwaves.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where Can I get rid of Electronic Waste?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>TVs and computers are accepted for free from Vermont residents at any registered collection site that is participating in the Vermont State Plan. For a list of locations visit www.vtecycles.org. Fairfax residents can bring e-waste to Highgate Transfer Station, the Northwest Solid Waste Management District drop-off in Georgia or the Chittenden Solid Waste Drop-off in Milton. In addition, the Town of Fairfax will hold three (3) collection events in 2018. The events will be held on the same day(s) as the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Days. While TVs &amp; Computers can be dropped off for free, some collection locations charge for the other items. It is best to call ahead to locations for pricing prior to loading up all of your electronics.
